HoleMole #5 is the largest standard Mole in the HoleMole core-hole filling range. It is designed for concrete openings from 9.5 to 12.5 inches in diameter, equivalent to approximately 241 to 318mm. This makes it suitable for major redundant service openings and large drilled cores where conventional boarding from beneath can require significant access, labour and coordination.
The expandable former is inserted from above. Its folding perimeter sections collapse sufficiently to pass through the opening, then open below the slab. Pulling upwards on the connected rod draws the Mole into position, after which the reusable stand and SpeedNut hold it steady while the selected repair material is guided into the opening through the Speed Chute.
To suit its wider diameter, HoleMole #5 is manufactured from 16-gauge galvanised steel with formed stability ribs for added stiffness. Bendable positioning tabs support correct placement and approved wall applications. Each unit includes one 24-inch threaded aluminium rod. Cable Glands UK offers UK-wide supply and product support from Manchester.
Important: Supplied as 1 × HoleMole #5 with 1 × 24-inch (approximately 610mm) threaded rod. Reusable HoleMole tools, the Wall Applicator and all repair materials are excluded unless expressly listed.

How to Use
How to Install HoleMole #5
- Measure the entire opening and verify that the clear diameter lies between 241 and 318mm.
- Check the concrete edge and surrounding slab for damage, then complete the preparation required by the engineered or specified repair system.
- Attach the supplied threaded rod, fold the HoleMole #5 perimeter sections and carefully lower the large former through the core.
- Draw the rod upwards until the Mole opens and seats evenly. Inspect its position before placing any repair material.
- Centre the stand, engage and tighten the SpeedNut, then connect the Speed Chute to control placement into the large opening.
- Fill in accordance with the material instructions, finish the surface and remove the reusable tools only after the required initial set or cure stage.
