The HoleMole Mole Stand with SpeedNut is the reusable support assembly used during horizontal concrete core-hole repairs. Once the correctly sized Mole has been lowered through the opening and drawn back against the underside of the slab, the threaded rod is guided into the centre of the stand. The supplied SpeedNut then secures the rod, maintaining upward tension on the former while the specified repair material is placed.
Its robust three-legged steel construction distributes support around the opening while leaving space for the HoleMole Speed Chute. This arrangement lets the installer control the former and fill the core from the same working level, helping reduce the routine need to travel to the floor below, install temporary plywood or coordinate access beneath the repair.
The Mole Stand is designed for use across the five standard HoleMole sizes, covering measured openings from approximately 51 to 318mm. Unlike the galvanised-steel Mole, which remains beneath the completed repair, the stand and SpeedNut are removed once the filling material has achieved the set required by the approved method. How to Use the HoleMole Mole Stand
- Measure the concrete opening, select the correct Mole and prepare the substrate in accordance with the project specification.
- Connect the threaded rod to the Mole, lower the former through the core and pull upwards until it seats beneath the slab.
- Position the Mole Stand directly over the opening and guide the threaded rod through the stand slot towards its centre.
- Depress the SpeedNut plunger, slide the nut down the rod, release it to re-engage the thread and turn it to secure the Mole.
- Fit the compatible Speed Chute and place the specified non-shrink grout or repair material into the opening.
- After the material has reached the set required by the approved method, remove the Speed Chute, SpeedNut and Mole Stand. Inspect and clean the reusable tools before storage.
