The HoleMole SpeedNut is the quick-positioning fastener used to connect the threaded Mole rod to the reusable application equipment. Instead of winding a conventional nut along the full exposed length of the rod, the installer depresses the button plunger to disengage the internal thread and slides the SpeedNut directly to the required position.

When the plunger is released, the thread re-engages. The oversized body can then be turned for final tightening, securing the rod and holding the Mole against the rear of the concrete opening. This action forms the second stage of a standard floor-slab installation and is also used with the HoleMole Wall Applicator for compatible vertical repairs.

Fast adjustment is particularly useful when contractors are working through multiple core holes or using longer threaded rods. The SpeedNut remains reusable application equipment: after the repair material has reached the required set, it can be released, removed, cleaned and inspected before the next installation.

How to Position and Tighten the HoleMole SpeedNut

  1. Seat the selected Mole correctly and guide its threaded rod through the Mole Stand or Wall Applicator.
  2. Inspect the exposed rod and SpeedNut to confirm that both threads are clean and undamaged.
  3. Depress and hold the button plunger to disengage the SpeedNut from the rod thread.
  4. Slide the SpeedNut along the rod until it reaches the application tool and the required holding position.
  5. Release the plunger completely so the internal thread re-engages with the threaded rod.
  6. Turn the SpeedNut to complete final tightening and confirm that the Mole is held securely before filling.
  7. After the repair reaches the specified set, release and remove the SpeedNut in accordance with the approved method. Clean and inspect it before storage.
Important: Never rely on the slide-on action alone. The thread must re-engage fully and the SpeedNut must be tightened as required before the filling stage begins.
