HoleMole SpeedNut – Quick-Release Threaded Rod Fastener
Description
HoleMole SpeedNut – Fast Threaded Rod Positioning
- Push-button thread release: Depressing the plunger disengages the nut so it can slide along the HoleMole rod.
- Quick final positioning: Release the button to re-engage the thread, then turn the oversized nut for final tightening.
- Stand and wall compatibility: Secures the threaded rod to either the Mole Stand or Wall Applicator.
The HoleMole SpeedNut is the quick-positioning fastener used to connect the threaded Mole rod to the reusable application equipment. Instead of winding a conventional nut along the full exposed length of the rod, the installer depresses the button plunger to disengage the internal thread and slides the SpeedNut directly to the required position.
When the plunger is released, the thread re-engages. The oversized body can then be turned for final tightening, securing the rod and holding the Mole against the rear of the concrete opening. This action forms the second stage of a standard floor-slab installation and is also used with the HoleMole Wall Applicator for compatible vertical repairs.
Fast adjustment is particularly useful when contractors are working through multiple core holes or using longer threaded rods. The SpeedNut remains reusable application equipment: after the repair material has reached the required set, it can be released, removed, cleaned and inspected before the next installation.
This listing contains one SpeedNut only. The Mole Stand, Wall Applicator, Moles, threaded rods, Speed Chute and repair material are available separately. Cable Glands UK is the exclusive UK HoleMole distributor, offering nationwide supply of genuine replacement tools and components.

FAQs
How Does the HoleMole SpeedNut Work?
Pressing the plunger disengages the internal thread so the SpeedNut can slide along the Mole rod. Releasing the button re-engages the thread, after which the nut is turned for final tightening.
Why use a SpeedNut instead of a standard nut?
It avoids winding a conventional nut along the entire exposed rod, helping speed up positioning during repeated HoleMole installations.
Does this SpeedNut include a Mole Stand?
No. This is an individual replacement SpeedNut. Stands and Wall Applicators are available separately and are also sold in versions that include a SpeedNut.
Can it be used with the Wall Applicator?
Yes. The same fastening principle holds the Mole rod during approved vertical installations.
Is the SpeedNut reusable?
Yes, provided the thread, body and plunger remain clean, undamaged and fully operational.
Does the SpeedNut stay in the finished repair?
No. It is removed with the reusable application equipment after the filling material reaches the required set.
Where can I order a replacement SpeedNut in the UK?
